🔬 Can 780ti support vr?

780ti is supported. They use VR ready logo only for 970+ cards because of the Multi Res Shading (based on the multi projection hardware in maxwell) that can achieve 20+% performance boost in VR in supported engines.

A 780 Ti is roughly on par with the 970 performance-wise. So you'll be able to run VR stuff, just don't expect outstanding performance. If you want higher end performance, look into a new 1080 or maybe a used 980 Ti.

Can I reasonably run VR with my set up? OC Hardware. My current PC set up has a 780ti, i7 4790K, 16gigs 2600mhz ram. I know the CPU is probably fine but can a 780ti handle VR or do I need to upgrade? 17 comments. share.

My biggest concern is software and not actual power. The 780ti is equal to the 970 in power (little better and a little worse in some games). I have looked around but haven't found any good information about drivers and if they updating the GTX 700 line with the same VR software/drivers upgrades. 780Ti is probably OK.

GTX 780 Ti users forced to upgrade for "Ready" VR ..… .......

780ti is supported. They use VR ready logo only for 970+ cards because of the Multi Res Shading (based on the multi projection hardware in maxwell) that can achieve 20+% performance boost in VR in supported engines. Even 950 has this feature in the chip, but 780ti doesn't. This is just technological progress.

xC4Px. · 3y. Yes, I started with a 780 but upgraded to a 1080 shortly after. The performance with the 780 will be limited ofc, and you can't use super sampling, but it will work for most games, exceptions will be Fallout4VR and maybe some other demanding games/simulations.

Hyped as the "Ultimate GEforce", the 1080 Ti is NVIDIA's latest flagship 4K VR ready GPU. It supersedes last years GTX 1080, offering a 30% increase in performance for a 40% premium (founders edition 1080 Tis will be priced at $699, pushing down the price of the 1080 to $499).

1650 is a budget card and will not suffice for VR. a 1660ti would be an avarage card and that can easily run alot of VR titles on medium/high settings Keep in mind, that buying a good GPU, while having a bad MB, Ram, PSU, CPU, and a sub tier SSD will most likely bottleneck the system.. you want to strive for balance.
