Will a 780ti be powerful enough for VR? I hear a lot of about requirements of a 970, which isn't as powerful (I think) as a 780ti. But perhaps the 970 has some benefits for VR since it was made partly with VR in mind.

Will a 780 Ti Overclocked be good enough for VR? Discussion. Close. 1. Posted by 5 years ago. Archived. Will a 780 Ti Overclocked be good enough for VR? Discussion. I am thinking about buying an HTC Vive- Wondering if a 780 Ti is good enough.

A 780 is around 10-15% below a 970. I wouldnt recommend beeing 10-15% under the recommended spec for VR at this point. The majority of consumer VR expeiences in 2016 will be tuned for that spec.

Soooo, I have a GTX 780ti and I want to get an HTC Vive. Obviously, a 780ti isnt good enough to handle that very well, so I was planning on upgrading to a 1080. Is this jump worth the price? Also, is the rest of my PC able to handle VR? I have 16GB 1600mhz DDR3 RAM i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz 480gb SSDx2 3...

780ti is supported. They use VR ready logo only for 970+ cards because of the Multi Res Shading (based on the multi projection hardware in maxwell) that can achieve 20+% performance boost in VR in supported engines. Even 950 has this feature in the chip, but 780ti doesn't. This is just technological progress.

TL;DR: A 780 will (should) run VR, though an upgrade is definitely recommended for the full immersiveness and if you want higher graphics settings. Source: Personal experience. 780 review link (2017): A Look Back at the GeForce GTX 780 in 2017. level 2.

I am reading more and more enthusiastic reports from people who are flying in Aerofly FS 2 with the Oculus Rift. I currently have an i7 [email protected], 16 GB RAM and a GTX780 with 6 GB VRAM and I am thinking about getting the Rift for Aerofly FS 2.Now I've…

Jul 21, 2020 @ 1:54am. 1650 is a budget card and will not suffice for VR. a 1660ti would be an avarage card and that can easily run alot of VR titles on medium/high settings. Keep in mind, that buying a good GPU, while having a bad MB, Ram, PSU, CPU, and a sub tier SSD will most likely bottleneck the system.. you want to strive for balance.

780 Ti was a monster when it launched but it pretty quickly hit huge walls due to having just 3 GB of memory. The speed of a card becomes irrelevant the moment you go over the VRAM limit. So the question is quite valid. 8 GB might become a problem in the near future, or it might not. Hard to say with these things.

Your PC will need a graphics card thats as powerful as a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti 4GB/Radeon RX 570 4GB and it should be paired with either a FX-8350/Core i7-3770 4-Core 3.4GHz CPU to match the Star ...

Is a core i7 2600 powerful enough for vr?

Will a gtx 1060 3gb be enough for vr?

I ran VR for over a year on a 1060. I didn't notice any problems. I recently was able to upgrade to a 1080ti and fallout definitely works better and I am able to super sample at a higher rate, but for the most part a 1060 is great for VR. If I had no gpu, I'd jump on a $200 1060 for sure.
