As long as you receive a quality unit, the Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 is a very good sight for the beginner. It’s is a good red dot scope for training and target shooting, since it’s durable, can take a beating, is waterproof and won’t fog up. And it’s versatile and can be used on AKs, ARs, pistols and even shotguns. 4.5 / 5 ( 196 votes )

Bushnell has dived into the tactical realm with a series of AR scopes. The AR line of optics are varied and range from simple magnified rifle scopes to a red dot or two. The optics themselves have ...

Weighing in at 6 ounces, the TRS-25 High Rise provides heavyweight performance. The supplied riser block positions the sight at optimum height on flat top ARs/MSRs and many shotguns. Black with 3 MOA Dot reticle. High-Rise mount. Waterproof Construction - O-ring sealed optics stay dry inside, even when totally immersed in water.

It is constructed and assembled by highly skilled craftsmen to Bushnell’s high quality standards. The precision and craftsmanship with which this scope was built ensures its performance under demanding conditions.

Good optic for the price. This is the newer model with the white bushnell lettering and the red dot DOES disappear at around the 10 o'clock when you look through it at a certain angle. But as long as it's mounted it shouldn't really be much of an issue. I just wish bushnell would've kept the original model! Other than that it's still a good optic.

The first TRS25 had the emitter at the 5 O'clock position and you could still see the sights. I've got an older one with the 5 o'clock emitter, as well as a couple of the newer ones. I tried putting the 5 o'clock version on the Bushnell riser, and while it's possible to use, it's still a pretty cluttered sight picture.

Today you can buy fake knockoffs with the yellow/gold logo just like the original Japanese model. Don’t fall for it. Today's genuine TRS-25 made under license by Bushnell have the larger Bushnell in white/silver. Bushnell TRS-25 is a highly functional scope that comes at a very affordable price. No matter if we’re talking about pistols, shotguns or sniping rifles, this scope will be a great fit nonetheless. The beauty (very often) comes from very simple concepts, and TRS-25 is a prime example of that.

The Bushnell TRS-25 is our go-to recommendation for an affordable beginner red dot that’s durable enough for range and competition use. The green hue may distract some but it’s ok for the price. If battery life is a big concern you may want to skip it for a newer red dot model. Right now the TRS-25 is trending around $70 and remember you ...
